Yeah, but SVU fandom is into Stabler, who is an absolutely vile character, so I would consider liking a character they dislike to be a good thing!

Rollins is my favorite next to Munch.

Why did ppl hate Rollins?

The constant victim blaming, I'd imagine.

But they didn't hate Stabler who did the same thing, only worse.

the biggest thing people point to is that she got cheated on, and in response harassed, really quite cruelly, a sex worker victim whose case they were supposed to be handling.

i think the relationship makes sense with both characters, and that's all i really need from it. he has white knight syndrome, she is one bad decision away from being her sister, it works.

rollin's problem is that she fails at the current zeitgeist version of copaganda, she's exactly the police officer you wouldn't want to be on your case, so her continued presence as a character belies all the good feelings you get from watching them find sex offenders. I'm glad kelli giddish didn't get fired though!

I didn't like Carisi or Rollins that much at first, but I came around to them. I don't think it was their character development (which is decent). I think I just got used to them being around. SVU is kind of a company show that's been a constant in my life fora long time. So, I think I never like new people at first (except Barba) and I don't like it when people leave.

Rollins is an interesting character, but I don't much "like" her as a cop. Especially at the beginning she is quite callous and not a good fit for SVU, but I guess that was her role, so she gets a pass.
She gets more interesting as time goes on and I liked that she's a single mother without any kind of stigma attached to it (there is some cases where that's brought up, but her reaction is always great) and I love her complicated relationship with authoritative figures and men in general. Her sister, too, while annoying, is a good character. I actually like her a lot and enjoy any episode she's in!

Carisi was quite insipid at the beginning for me, but then really grew on me. My favourite arc is when he does the transition from detective to prosecutor. That was great!
I quite enjoy their relationship. It's interesting and I like how it's complicated. They bring out the best and WORST of them at the same time and I enjoy it when it's not too much of a focus (I watch SVU for the cases mostly).

The problem I have with BOTH of them is that they're been around TOO LONG. I want new characters!!! I think we need fresh meat.
Olivia is the heart of the show and has to stay because without her there is no SVU at this time. And I love Fin. She's Olivia's confidant and right hand and he's always been one of my favourite characters (with Munch, sigh), so I think his presence is justified but I guess it's time to renew the formula?
I mean, they're trying to do that with all the Stabler crossovers, but I'm so over Stabler... I enjoy him as a corrupt cop character with a temper tantrum and nothing more. I love his episodes because he's a BAD cop and it shows.
So yeah, I guess I kind of resent both of them sometimes because their continued presence hinder the show's innovation. I guess I shouldn't expect too much of SVU nowadays, but damn. I still love it and want it to be good.

SORRY FOR THE RANT I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS FOR SVU LOL

I loved Muncy, but hate the name. But I'm biased because Molly Bennet played my favorite character on Days of Our Lives LOL.

I also like the other new lady Muncy had issues with but for the life of me I can't remember her name.
