It's the fourth in a series.

First is "The Hunter's Moon". Second is "The Summer King", third is "The Light-Bearer's Daughter", and finally comes "The Book of Dreams".

... rewrite? waitwaitwait, you mean there's a version other than the one where Gwen goes on a mission through Ireland to save Finn from the faeries and all that? Do tell

Well, not completely rewritten. She basically reworked it for an American audience. In it Gwen is an American and every reference to Canada is switched to the US. I was really disappointed by that. :(

As someone who knows the author, I'd be so delighted if these books had a bigger fandom. The writing is far, far above the average quality for fantasy, the characters are really compelling and always make interesting choices and the author herself really deserves more love.
