Having not watched it I gotta ask: what, if anything, was very gay about it then? Or was it just empty promises/baiting?

As far as I can remember, nothing.

It’s been a little bit, I think I saw it shortly after it was released to streaming. But I remember it being even less queer than Ragnarok, which at least had some subtext about Val and her fellow Valkyries.

Val winks at one of Zeus's concubines and both the guys and girls with Zeus faint at naked Thor, but that's it.

It's been a while since I've watched it, but wasn't Waititi's stone character (can't remember his name) in a relationship with a guy? I wouldn't say it makes the movie super gay or even that anyone cared, but I guess it might qualify.
