Ever since I saw "social justice" take off on Tumblr in 2008, I have completely given up on the idea that any internet activism is genuine. I have seen lots of incidents like the one you describe. People who say they are activists are never genuine, they are always bullying sociopaths who want to use "social justice" as a way to get clout and be racist without getting called out for it. Every single time.

The more I think about this comment, the more I realize how true it is in every case I can think of, like the person who frequents this community calling everyone a TERF at the earliest opportunity. There's no sincerity there.
