Re: Would you like some cheese with that whine?

I got my vaccines and managed to escape COVID for a while, but my partner works in healthcare and it was frankly inevitable. Side-effects of the booster consisted of a really sore arm and feeling tired the next day. Actual COVID was 3-4 days of fever and throat so sore I could barely swallow anything without serious pain and I was getting dehydrated and not eating much. The fever lasted about a week and a half total, accompanied by feeling dizzy and so weak that standing up took effort. Walking around the house was exhausting. Everything tasted bland or bitter, and I had terrible headaches. After most of those symptoms faded, I was still really tired for a good 5-6 weeks total. I couldn't see my elderly parents for a good while afterwards and they worried a lot about me even though I kept them in the loop. I don't want to go through that again if I don't have to.

So yeah. I vote for the booster.
