Tried playing Undertale. Didn't get it.

So many people I know love watching the reality show Married at First Sight and I just do not get it at all.

Sherlock. Most sitcoms. Big Bang Theory. This is Us (first season was okay, after that it just got boring).

Torture porn horror. Just graphic violence for graphic violence's sake. No actual horror, no suspense, just violence. I just don't get the point.

Any media where there isn't at least one character to actually root for. Media where everyone is terrible and it is just a matter of bad vs. really bad, I just don't get it. Clearly it has an audience. But personally if there isn't someone I can actually root for, I'm not going to enjoy myself.

I couldn’t get into Sherlock either. Didn’t help that it was so overhyped.
I saw one half of an episode of Big Bang Theory and that was enough for me.

Merlin. First season was kinda sorta charming, but otherwise...

Most sitcoms, especially Friends.

This comment reminds me of a secret about Friends and the OP having a similar opinion as yourself. The discussion under that secret got kinda weird.

I didn't even care for that show in the 90's when most people were obsessed with it. I found the characters so dumb and bland.

Reality TV in general.

Like I can sort of get competition shows as that's about watching people succeed or fail at doing/creating something, though I still think they're rigged as fuck, but the rest of it can go in the fucking bin. I don't get how they're entertaining or fun to watch, they're over-edited, awful programs that are either full of failed actors and models trying to get a break, or regular people abused and lied to by the production teams. It's a blight on TV in general and if I could I'd nuke them from existence.

When I was younger, especially in my teens and early 20s, I watched a lot of reality TV and so did my friends.

I think it served 2 purposes in the appeal.
1) Because it's presented like real life, when I discussed it with friends and family it felt like gossiping IRL. Like looking into our neighbors' houses and judging them, going on a ride like a fly in the wall, watching people's private lives be put on display for all of us to gawk at (like watching Catfish, Teen Mom, various celebrity reality TV shows like Ozzy Osborn's family)
2) it was a way to live vicariously through these people's experiences (competition shows like Project Runway, Chopped, The Amazing Race, The Hills/The OC)

I don't watch much reality TV anymore, not even cooking competition shows. I've seen people also say that watching shows like Love is Blind is a way we can speak about modern day dating in public forums and in our own communities. But being Ace lol that's inviting me to keep staying away.

I think I've had my fill of reality TV since I watched A LOT of it in the 2000s (and a small part of the 2010s).

I like some of the cooking, home renovation and craft shows, but other than that, yeah. I never got the appeal of things like Big Brother.

Most reality stuff. Especially the dating ones and the 'naked in the wilderness' ones. Just...no. Sheesh.

I weirdly envy people who don't get the appeal of Undertale.

That's not a criticism, just a comment. Everyone's entitled to their tastes.

YouTube talking head stuff. Something about the way 90% of the people I've seen talk to the camera is just irritating and boring; I'd rather listen to music (uninterrupted without amateur commentary please) while I scroll.

I like the ones who are genuinely knowledgeable about a specific field sometimes, but even there I get five minutes in and think "I'd rather be reading this than listening to it."

Video games as a whole medium. My brain is not wired for that.

Are you me? My brain just can't deal with them. Also when I say that NO I can't play, I really don't know what to click what to do how to logic in games people start recommending games with quite elaborate set up. Yeah thank you guys, still a no.
