Short answer: No.

Longer answer: In modern terms incest is almost always by definition illegal relations with a family member (your fifth cousin is technically your family but far enough removed from you that there are no laws against fifth cousins marrying, so it's not classified as incest) so unless it's illegal to masturbate where you live, then it probably wouldn't be considered a form of incest. Psychologically, incest is usually recognized as happening because of one family member grooming or otherwise abusing the other into the relationship, and you literally can't groom yourself... I know you can self-harm, but erm, I'm pretty sure you can't technically abuse yourself into having sexual relations with... yourself. So probably still no.

By that definition selfcest isn't invest either. It's not illegal because for obvious reasons, there's no law against it and you cannot groom a version of yourself that grew up in a alternative dimension and you just ran into due to magic.

Why? Idgaf cause it's an impossible scenario in the first place, but to me the complete lack of a familial dynamic and relationship makes it a different category of thing (for ships where people get with an alternate self in general, not specific examples where that may not apply).

I mean, I'm really into incest, and I don't think it's impossible for selfcest to be incest, but it's really not in this case. Incest is about familial relationships. Sylvie and Loki don't have one of those at all, in any way, because as far as I'm aware, there's no culture on Earth that considers one's relationship with a version of themselves from a different universe to be family, because that's a fantasy hypothetical not possible in the real world.

Like, I love incest. There are ways to make selfcest incest or to flavor it with incest vibes. That's not what's happening in Loki.
