Yeah, but this is also a movie where the government introduces hardcore drugs (via dart rifle) into a minority community to “prove” that minorities are inherently violent. So, some good, some bad.

Yep and it was a prey species who was attempting to subjugate predators. The idea was to turn them feral and show the world that predators couldn’t be trusted and have them all locked away. Most Disney movies are pretty dark if you think about them but Zootopia felt more blatant to me.

I have noticed the quite a few recent Disney movies have been more cop-friendly. Onward comes to mind the most since there's the cop boyfriend who could have easily been cut out from the main cast and you'd still have the same movie without much change.
