The bigger secret is that most* other women don't, either, as reflected in viewership numbers and ticket sales. People claim to support women's teams, but they aren't willing to put their money (or their eyeballs) where their mouths are.

*stress on "most." Yes, some women care. But it's not even close to a majority of female sports fans.

I've never had this issue, but team sports just don't appeal as much as individual athleticism. The sports I'm into don't really have "pro" leagues (swimming, track, judo) and I'd honestly say that if anything I watch more of the women's events than the men's because I relate more to the techniques and timing. I do watch the men's events (I mean, who doesn't want two cakes!) but usually only the finals/records and even then really only because of the spectacle. Like, even in my prime the times these guys make were quite literally impossible, I might as well be watching horses or like, trucks, for how relatable or engaging it is. Whereas with the women while it's still like "wow that's so fast" I can imagine the training/endurance/build it would take to achieve that level of performance. Does anyone else afab (and not on T, obviously) feel this way? Or is this just because I did a lot of individual sports as a kid?

The man is responsible for getting an emote banned from WoW because he told his dumbfuck, toxic fans to spit on anyone they saw in-game with a mount you'd get from just being subscribed on a 6-month plan. I just ran into a fandom Discord server that asked if you were over 18 and then asked if you were over 25. If you weren't over 25 there were some things you couldn't access. what?! What am I going to do on this Discord that I need to be over 25 for--rent a car?

Is this a thing now? I am totally new to Discord so I have no idea what's normal.
