Co-signed. No one can talk about the elephant in the room in one of my fandoms because not only does the creator sometimes drop in but their SO was a fan who has used their relationship to appoint themselves Supreme BNF and Almighty Ruler. Oh and the elephant in the room is that the new SO is obviously the one behind the recent work.

Their SO being in the fandom is so...ugh. There should be a firm separation between fans and a creator's actual life.

The creator might be a predator. A lot of fans now in their mid to late 20s have come forward saying they felt uncomfortable around the creator when they were teens. Then the person has an 18 year old who was an active fan going to cons since age 13 suddenly move into their house. Absolute yuck.

I still like the early work though and want to talk to other fans about it and have a moan every time we’re let down by how bad the new stuff is.
