Worst part of cooking?

Accidentally burning your hand on a pain because you are clumsy. My most recent one is in the crease of my hand. ;_;

It's not the *worst* but what annoys me the most is following every direction of the recipe to the letter, but it doesn't come out right. Sometimes I find out later that certain ingredients have to be mixed in a certain way or a certain order, but it's not written in the recipe. Like it's just assumed everyone knows this stuff.

Not having the time to cook all the stuff you want to. (Yes, I know crockpots exist, but that still involves opening/rinsing/chopping/etc things, and the better recipes will still have you partially cooking something on the stove)

Cook time: 2.5 hours.
Eat time: 10 minutes.

I don't mean slow-cooking or anything, just any recipe that between prep and cook time takes 10x as long as it takes to shovel the food into your pie hole. I'm so tired of taking an hour and a half to carefully balance the melding of flavors for a meal I can scarf down in ten minutes or less. Food is stupid.

When you give yourself digestive problems trying your own creations.

Also that one time I overheated oil and while it was alright in the end I stank up the house with the smell of grease and I had intrusive thoughts of how I could have gotten myself killed doing the wrong thing for a bit.

Not messing around with hot oil frying for a LONG ass time

my stupid fucking smoke alarm going off every time I turn on the oven or stove unless I open the window and turn on the fans in my apt full blast. And it isn't too close. It isn't even in the kitchen. And my oven isn't dirty either, I cleaned it.

Frankly I hate everything about
-Doing it every fucking day
-If you are low on energy even the fastest fast dish that fasts needs of you to do a lot of steps
-Fucking salads I hate making this shit omg
-I hate making every step according to a recipe. I am a decent cook but I am a shit baker I have no patience for it

AND MOTHERFUCKING DISHES I HATE THEM SO MUCH. I have no dishwasher and there is no place for it without renovating my whole kitchen and I have no money. And since I have no money I have to cook at least part of a week. That's frustrating

Dishes, handling raw meat, having your hands smell like onion despite scrubbing them repeatedly, the smell of food in hair and textiles when you are done.
