Yeah, AO3's got a lot of ways to filter for crossover fics, but nothing that remotely replicates this experience. They should put it on the list.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed, not least of all because so many fics on AO3 are tagged with multiple fandoms it doesn't necessarily mean 'crossover' anyway.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 10:25 am (UTC)(link)
I have a friend there who insists on tagging in fandoms because they were thinking about them while writing. She says that her thinking of them influences the story enough to justify them being included. As a writer, I kinda get that. As a reader, I wish she would stop.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate your friend.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
It is a truism, AO3 is for writers but FF.net is for readers.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno. I don't find the experience of reading on ff.net enjoyable at all. The formatting is so wonky.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I could not disagree more. As a reader i find ff.net inpossible. I am honestly shocked when people say they still go there and/or prefer it.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, I know, stanning AO3 is your fandom identity. Don't worry about it.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Says the person trying to desperately assert how ff.net is soooooo much better than AO3 at every turn lol.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Bless your heart.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol fuck you too.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
... y'all are both eager to make assumptions on the identity and posting trends of anonymous commenters.

Oh, what am I saying, this is clearly one person staging a fake argument with themself for funsies. Well, just to complete the trio, I'm a Wattpad stan now and you can't prove otherwise.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I didnt even mention ao3? Why so mad?

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Please leave.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
You first.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Idiocy before beauty. I'll turn the lights off once you're gone.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-15 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, it sounds like your lights aren't on at all, soooo...

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Its not my fault that the majority of the fics I read in the 2000s are only uploaded there.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah - I enjoy reading on both 💜

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate reading on FF.net. Once AO3 was up and running I left and never looked back.

(Anonymous) 2023-11-14 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I did it so much for the Holmes books fandom.
