Question to OP: Have you only watched the live-action/donghua, or have you also read the novel? I've noticed the people who are strongly of these opinions tend to play much more with the show canon than the novel canon (notably the novel directly addresses why WWX is a virgin when he dies).

To me, they just seem like a couple that each have a definite preference for topping (LWJ) and bottoming (WWX), but do switch if and when they feel like it.

"He was definitely getting around before that." What do you base this on? Cause the text says he was a virgin. The show doesn't even imply that he was sexually active, ever. The rumor was that he was defiling women left and right, but this is the story about how Listening to Rumors is Bad.... You didn't base this off the rumors, right? Right..?

I'm only going off the novel, but LWJ was defintely patterned on the typical silent, strong seme type, lol. Although realistically given his level of devotion I don't think he'd be bothered about switching.

I enjoyed The Untamed very much but have no opinions about who's railing who or who's top vs. bottom. Whenever people say that well obviously his characterization means _______ I'm just over here like... okay? Because I have no idea what people are talking about.
