I agree. Sometimes people are drawn to art forms they are just not good at, objectively speaking, and in my book it's nice they can still pursue it. Maybe this was the exact reason they didn't do it earlier in life: they knew they wouldn't be financially successful. So what if they are using their fame to draw attention to their hobby? I wouldn't participate in debates how good or bad such side projects are though, either I like it or not. I would find it annoying though of someone tried to convince me that if an actor is talented, his music or art also shows their talent though.

I honestly find it kind of gross how gatekeeper-y so many people can be about creative stuff, as if people don't have the right to make art or music or writing if they aren't "good" at it. If they're enjoying creating it, why does it matter whether they're "good" or not?

Same here. No one has to listen to their music or look at their art or read their books or even buy it. Let them have fun with whatever kind of creativity they choose. Who gives a f**k if they are good at it or not, no one forces anybody to engage with it.
