Depends on how much trouble the slacker causes me personally. Frankly, "pleasant to be around" really diminishes if a person is just a lazyass at work. It's inconsiderate to your co-workers, and I'm not going to like a person who does that regularly.

Yeah, this. Someone who is lazy and causes extra work for their coworkers isn't "pleasant to be around" for me.

In terms of extra work, I once walked in to a shift to find a queue of four guys waiting to send stuff by DHL. When I asked the girl on shift why they were waiting, she said "oh I told them to wait because I knew you were coming in soon."

This person had been shown multiple, multiple, multiple times how to process these shipments, but still maintained she couldn't do it. It was literally just putting info into a form on the PC. So I got to handle a line of four irate men (at Christmas crunch time) who had been kept waiting unnecessarily.

Exactly! If they do their work but considered a "slucker" by crunch culture I am ok with that. If they are just a person who wait for others to do their job they are not nice
