I feel like fan depictions of stuff usually suck. Not necessarily technically; some proficient fans have created quite technically good stuff. But they have those common fanfic pitfalls; so much indulgence, and unnecessary explaining or depiction of things that didn't need it and aren't really of a benefit just because some types of fans can't seem to leave anything unexplained or vague.

Makes me think of that Star Wars thing....That popular video where someone did their own version of Obi-Wan fighting Vader in A New Hope and it's all over the top, cool action shit. Totally unnecessary.

Genuinely cannot imagine the mindset of someone who would want to see a full recreation of the battle. And like, get hyped about it. What must that person's brain be like
