Re: Question for gay/straight people

I can't explain what other people's gendered attraction is based on, but in my case I just cannot imagine a male person being hot to me. There's just zero interest. I remember reading books in high school and thinking every time a female character was attracted to a male character that it was just convenient for the plot, no-one was really attracted to men. All the het couples around me I kind of dismissed as the girls wanted to be friends with the boys (or get status or have a protector or whatever) but boys were obviously attracted to the girls (because girls are attractive) so the girls used that to get boys on side. Adult couples? Well, obviously that's what you need to do if you want children, and also two incomes are better than one or the ability to stay home with your kids when they're little. Eventually I realised that many girls and women did in fact find men attractive but it's still kind of theoretical to me. And yes, I do find trans women attractive. Non-binary people sometimes (mostly but not only AFAB non-binary), trans men no.
