i like rdj as an actor (and I love tony stark), and I love this version of holmes. i think to compare this holmes and acd holmes is a mistake though. the movie's share holmes inner life and the books don't by design. i don't see a lot of difference between them when considering perspective differences, but now I'm probably going to read the books and watch the movies again lmao.

my problem as always is irene adler, though I love rachel mcadams, but for that i blame Guy Ritchie
