I think a lot of people in fandom aren't good at disliking something without coming up with reasons as to why their dislike is correct or morally justified. Like I find Ginny boring, that's my reason for not liking her character, but it ends there. She isn't an awful person, she isn't some horrible character, I just find her bland and that's more than enough of a 'reason' for me to not care for her. But we can't have that in fandom because maybe then we'd realise that subjective tastes can vary.
