Yes, it does. It's fucking boring. The reason I read so much M/M is that there's no biologically based predetermination who does what in bed. Unless, of course, one of them is trans.

Next question.

The reason you read so much M/M is because you're a misogynist, as evidenced by your use of the dehumanizing term "front hole."

??? That's a common preferred term... Tell me you don't know any transmen without saying you don't know any transmen.

Next time, do some research to make sure you're correct before calling people names.

Asshole.

"Misogynist" isn't a name, it's a description. And I don't need to do "research" to know what's dehumanizing and what isn't.

Before calling other people "asshole," why don't you take a look in the mirror. I know, I know; all of your preferences and likes and dislikes are totally free from outside influence, and totally rational, and you're a Very Good Person who couldn't possibly be a bigot. But that. Is. What. All. Bigots. Think.

Front hole is actually a fairly common term used by trans men, to describe trans men's genitalia specifically, not the vaginas of cis women.

Idk what this is going on about but unless you're a trans man I wouldn't speak for what's offensive to people or not when it's their term they use.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-27 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
da and I actually didn't know that, thank you for educating me! Is that the more preferred term to use or is vagina acceptable too? I'm genuinely curious, I'm not trans myself and I don't want to step on people's toes by using the wrong word.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-27 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Np, glad it helped someone! I think the above anon just got confused about misogyny because they thought "front hole" referred to all vaginas and ofc nobody would use that to describe a woman's vagina. It's a trans man/masc-specific term.

I would generally ask how people prefer to have things referred to if it's an individual thing, but front hole is generally acceptable as far as I know, esp for fictional characters.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-27 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, I would definitely ask first in an RL situation, I was mostly curious if there was a preference one way or the other if it ever came up in the context of fictional characters. Thanks!

Don't hurt yourself with that stretch, there.

Front hole

A term preferred by some trans men and non-binary people to describe their genitals, instead of vagina.

I will await your apology.

Wow, you're psychic now? What a nasty, mean-spirited assumption to make.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-27 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Instead there are fandom pre-determined roles in bed, like sorry I find this argument that fic m/m is somehow completely devoid of any hetronormativity or low-scale sexism really fucking funny, that's a very nice reality you're living in but it's not true at all. m/m fandom is just as obsessed with penetrative sex as het, it's just that in m/m it's all up the butt. The number of fics that don't involve PiA is significantly lower than those that do and it's been that way for a long, long time.

Not saying that it's bad mind-you, people can write what they want and I have m/m ships where I prefer one-half bottoming, but m/m fandom is not this unparalleled utopia free of social hetronormativity that a lot of ya'll think it is. It's a hobby.

????
I never said m/m was devoid of heteronormativity or any sexism. I said that m/m has no biologically based predetermination as to who does what in bed. Sure, maybe most people write the shorter dude as being the bottom, but there are fic where there is no penetration, there are fic where the taller one bottoms, there are fic where they switch. How many het fic have you run into where the woman pegs the dude?

About the same amount where the trans dude is the one penetrating... and it's boring as shit.
