I'm pretty sure most of us in fandom has fought/is fighting some invisible war. But here's the thing: you can't know when someone is actually having a very bad day on the internet unless they tell you. Sure, it's possible your post was the trigger for their disappearance. Likely, though? Hard to say. If you're worried, you could always check the tone of all your posts before commenting on something.

But no matter what battles someone is fighting, it doesn't justify any harmful action they might take against someone else with an opinion they don't like. Arguments are okay, death threats are not.
