Wait, what happened with N.K. Jemisin?

nayrt

She had a tendency to be on the Twitter front lines for her author friends. Isabel Fall wrote a story with the title "I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter" and Jemisin piled on to condemn the work as transphobic without even having read it. Another time, Sarah Dessen was completely infuriated that a college student didn't want to have one of her books be the campus read. Jemisin was one of Dessen's most vocal supporters and advocated that people who don't like a book shouldn't be allowed to criticize it.

I've blocked her, so if she's done anything in the last 2+ years, I'm unaware.

NK also did this whole big blog post about Isabel Fall a year later in which she outright lies about her involvement. Apparently she thought that because she had deleted the tweets and retweets, they were gone forever. Which of course isn’t true.

She’s a typical Twitter Mob Boss. She sics her followers on someone and then “takes a break for mental health” then pops back online and says she wasn’t involved, the damage wasn’t her fault.

I think it's important to add that Isabel Fall was, in fact, a transwoman. She detransitioned over the harassment she received as a result of that story.
