Man, this. A floating hell of germs and people you cannot get away from, plus the pollution and general grossness of the cruise industry.... Not something I'd be keen to do.

The "cannot get away from" bit really hits with me. I live in a town right by the sea and there used to be an infamous "party boat" that would host what were basically floating raves from 9pm - 2am. I went on a few when I first moved here for the novelty of it and while some of them were fun, there were a couple where some creepy weirdo had a very small area to stalk/grope girls in and we couldn't just walk out. It was basically a floating dancefloor with no exit. One of them had a guy who was so being so obvious that a bunch of people I didn't even know formed a solid circle around me and another girl and told him to fuck off.

Anyway, I know that cruise ships are a different bag but the "YOU CAN'T LEAVE" part really fills me with complete dread.
