I use lyrics for titles for my Stranger Things fics and I'm really fussy about it - the lyric has to be really relevant to the fic and it has to be a song that is from the specific time period, like, I try for something that has been released within the three months before the start of the fic, so it would be a song the characters would be aware of at that point in time. The songs I chose and the ones I considered would make for a nice 80s playlist.

You could go back and change the title, if it's that bad, but I can see how that might also feel like cheating.

I'm of two minds about this, because I love the idea of Stranger Things fic being very narrowly targeted into things that are actually from the period but there is also so much 90s music and other more recent stuff that fits the vibe of the show / my ships really well in my head.
