Re: How to Drink channel
(Anonymous) 2024-01-19 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)For example, Dewar's feels like I'm drinking drain cleaner, while a Springbank Campbeltown single malt has buttery notes and a smoother finish that make it more pleasant to drink. Both are scotches, but one is smoother in flavor/texture than the other. Sometimes one distillery can make different products with the same ingredients but different ways of storing the alcohol. Jack Daniel's tends to run sweeter, but if they cut grooves in the barrel after charging it, the same core spirit ends up (ironically) with a smokier taste.
