Lmao for fucking real? I work retail, if I don't go to work I don't get fucking paid. Who the shit actually thinks that's a remotely feasible thing for most people??

Hell, I have a salaried job and if I just didn't go to work for a week for any reason that wasn't "I'm really sick" or "I have a family emergency that requires me to be absent," I would be in deep shit. I want to know what sort of jobs these people have that allow them to just spontaneously decide not to come in for an entire week with no advance notice for something that ISN'T an emergency.

I've got a feeling they don't have jobs because no one who's employed by anyone other than their parents can just 'take a week off' randomly without issues.

Kids/students who aren't responsible for supporting themselves financially and therefore think nothing of demanding that level of sacrifice from others as some sort of performative activism.
