That's not what he meant. He meant that women should obey their men and if they didn't it was totally justified for men to hit them.

Men absolutely do hit men that they think are being assholes. And nearly all of those quotes pertain to a woman being an asshole.

What do you think continuing after getting the last word is? What do you think getting into a "really provocative situation" is? What do you think being a bitch is? He's describing the type of person who can't let something go; who has to keep needling the other person about it and deliberately provoking a fight. That's an asshole!

The one quote that potentially crosses the line for me is the last. But even then, a majority of women admit, in surveys, that they have rape fantasies. A majority profess to being sexually submissive. There are, in fact, women who want to be slapped and try to get their men to do it. That he happened to notice this isn't a fault on his part.

I didn't ask if Men did. I asked if you did. And if you do, congrats, you're the asshole. We do not solve our intra-personal conflicts with violence. That's an asshole move. Someone wants to get the last word in? YOU LEAVE. YOU DO NOT HIT THEM. Someone gets into a "really provocative situation"? YOU LEAVE. YOU DO NOT HIT THEM.

Rape fantasies are just fantasies. Sexual submission has nothing to do with real life abuse, which is what being hit is when it is outside of a pre-negotiated scene. You slap someone when you don't have their explicit permission to do so? Congrats, THAT'S ASSAULT. And in the confines of a relationship, it's DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
