But I agree with the other anon who commented before me. Constantly using characters' deaths as shock value to the detriment of the characters' development
is boring and can make caring about the story difficult. And, to be blunt, if all of the characters I care about or I'm interested in stop being part of the story, without hope of coming back (so by dying permanently for instance), I'll be too sad/uninterested to keep on watching/reading. I think I'm going to wait for the manga to end to decide if I'm ready to finish the anime and to read the manga. But I still disagree that it's bad. At least not what I've seen so far.
