i mean i think that depends on the specific issue you're talking about. for palestinian activism specifically, the reach escaped the terminal velocity of leftists a while ago. if you have NYT counter-narrative pieces about how people won't be friends with people who don't side with Palestine...the social punishment has worked. like obviously the NYT is wildly reactionary to what they see as threats to conservatism, and lord knows "college campuses are crazy" is a fun topic for them, but even so this has clearly gone beyond the original audience.

I think the whole political analysis of the situation is pretty flawed.
if you would like to say more, i could probably respond, but so far i think this is so clearly an issue of social media allowing a lot of opinions but making organization difficult to me.
