Lol. I read 13 and was proud. I don't really think I'd be able to comprehend the books I read if it was basically one every two days. It would just be one huge blur.

My reading goal was 12 books last year and I was pumped when I met it.

My goal is 12 so anything over that is bonus.

I'm on year two of trying to read just one book! I read the first five pages when I got the book, had to put it down because it was Christmas and the family demanded attention. Haven't managed to pick the book up again since Dec 2022....

I actually used to be a bookworm back in middle/high school, reading 2-3 books a week, too. Not being able to get into books anymore is kind of awful.

My advice, get some recs from reddit (suggestmeabook). And drop any book that doesn't interest you. Life is too short to waste on a book you don't like.

Thanks for the rec! I didn't know about that sub Reddit, I'll have to try that! I have tried to find a place like that, but I'm not on Reddit so I didn't think to check there.

The book I'm trying to read did hook my interest during the few pages I read. I think if I hadn't gotten interrupted I could have easily read at least halfway through, the way I used to. It's just picking it up again that feels like an actual chore... :/
