How did I not know she was in it? I may have to check out an episode or two now.

Ironically, Tig being so entertaining is what finally put me off Discovery. Tig was constantly funny and charming, but no one on the show could keep up with her or match her energy. Fun as it was to watch her steal every scene she was in, I ended up disappointed and irritated every time I had to watch the other actors act like blocks of wood and stare off into space whenever they interacted with Tig's character.

Maybe it got better after I left, I don't know.

This. But for Army of the Dead

Tig Notaro should be a bigger star.

I don't normally love remaking movies, but I'm for remaking every Tom Cruise movie with Tig Notaro instead.

Idk where you’re hanging out but the stolen typesets are absolutely drama. Some of the ones redistributing paid content have gotten C&Ds, most are just blocked by lots of people. A whole bunch got thrown out the three biggest subreddits and some creators are putting prices up much higher in the hopes none of the fandom baby binders can afford it to give to the rest. Honestly, it would be nice to see all the creators putting their prices way back up. Not everything needs to be for everyone and fandom taking over hobby spaces kills creativity and learning.

As an outsider to book-/fan-binding, I am so confused. I don't get what collated vs. uncollated means in this context, and why one format makes it easier to mass print (I always thought collating could be done with a click of a button on your printer, not something inherent to a typeset). Nor do I understand why mass printing would be bad, especially for a community where the point is to manually bind. Like, just because it *could* be mass-printed doesn't mean it will be? Help, I'm confused.

So now people can get paid for binding someone else's fic, but if a fanwriter mentions they enjoy comments they are entitled assholes. I'm so, so tired.

don't know hockey at all, but I consistently have gotten good smutty RPFs from hockey fandom. And by good, I mean disgustingly raunchy.

I don't think it involved these guys, but it did involve the Stanley Cup.

[personal profile] hey_hey_hey 2024-02-02 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Speaking of sports RPF, I wonder if there's, dear God, Kelcecest yet. I don't want to manifest it if it doesn't exist already.

(Anonymous) 2024-02-02 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly the rpf pipeline starts with hockey rpf. It's startingly well written that honestly any fic you end up looking at is on average better than what you'd get from anime/manga and popular TV shows.

As far as I'm concerned in terms of quality (on AVG) it's hockey rpf > F1/figure skating rpf > football/soccer rpf

(Anonymous) 2024-02-02 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Hockey rpfers, I need clip compilations and timelines and your spiral of theories, help me fall down this rabbit hole.

I felt the same. The idea of the second coming of Jesus was quite temping to see, but now is so different.

loop ear plugs

Anyone use them and do you like them? Misophonia has exploded from just chewing noises to seemingly a million little random noise and I gotta do something about it.
