There's truth to it, and I don't know if it's "he makes me feel petite, tee hee" or "he's an able protector" or what, but it's also a reason that incels can use for their lack of success with women*. "It's because I'm short!" instead of "it's because my hygiene is bad and I dress like shit and I have never developed good conversational skills," because certainly, many short men have happy romantic lives.
