That’s me, but with Tai and Sora. Also, the last two movies may have retconned the epilogue.

They'd never retcon Tai and Sora together because all the ship teasing with them was an invention of the English dub.

I haven't seen Tri, but isn't that a thing in it? That it has retconned 02's ending? Or maybe that just takes place between Adventure and 02.

I always pretended the epilogue never happened. Ken and Miyako was weird as hell.

It’s been a while since I watched the Tri movies, but I don’t think they retcon the ending (and the 02 kids were barely relevant in them). Kizuna and The Beginning both kinda retcon the original epilogue, but in different ways, so it’s kinda weird.
