I sort of feel this.
I'm in a few youtuber communities and I've seen the cycle of people putting them on a pedestal with so much love for the person, before the cycle goes to condemn/critique/etc them before the next lot of fans come in to worship. Its cute at times and sometimes hilarious.

I still participate only so far that I take everything at face value only in the moments I am enjoying the media piece. Anything outside of that most times I just don't pay attention to. If it does crawl into my spaces of course I will feel sad but these days I just remind myself that people are complex and a piece of media isn't wholly representative of only one person.

It is very sweet to see to people stan something/someone wholesome and just enjoy it with very simple and earnest investment.

I find this really charming. I think I feel this way whenever my friends find a new interest; I know my friends, the interest will fade, but I'm really happy that for now they have this thing. :)
