There was a Catholic bishop, Enrique Angelelli, 53, in Argentina, who was killed in 1976 for his involvement in social issues. The police report said Angelelli was killed when the driver, Father Pinto, of the vehicle he was in lost control and it was called "a traffic event" by a prosecutor at the time. Ten years later it was ruled a homicide and a tribunal decided there was possible involvement by the military. Eventually, in 2014, two military men were sentenced to life for the murder.
