Well obviously if this Darin Morgan episode isn't my favorite, the other all-time great Darin Morgan episode must be. So, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose.

For non-Darin Morgan episodes, probably Quagmire.

All of the lighter and more comedic X-Files episodes are amazing. Bad Blood is my favourite (I know that's the boring choice) and this one is right up there too.
