Characters you changed your mind on

Are there characters you have changed your mind on? Either disliked them before and now liked them, or the other way around. Or maybe found them boring before but now find their story interesting?

The 10th Doctor was my absolute favorite when I first saw his era as a teenager and was the reason I got into the series in the first place.
Now, after rewatching a couple of years ago I find a lot of his episodes hard to watch (except all the episodes with John Simms Master, but I think that my old-school 10/Master shipping is te reason behind that tbh).

Also Xander from Buffy - I use to love his character as a kid, but can't stand him as an adult.

It took watching Star Trek NG for about a year (when it was a new show) for me to get to really like Picard and Deanna Troi.

Gaara’s one of my favorite characters from Naruto, but I really didn’t like him initially. The opposite happened with Sasuke.

Relena, Sakura Haruno, Kairi, and some other characters like that who I made myself like because I didn't want to be a stereotypical yaoi fangirl who hated a female character who was in the way of a popular slash ship. Then I decided I don't have to like them because I know my dislike had nothing to do with shipping, it was because they suck. There were plenty of other female characters who were "in the way" that I genuinely liked (Lacus, Cagalli, and Meyrin from Gundam Seed, Sora from Digimon, Winry from FMA--Hawkeye too, but even stereotypical yaoi fangirls always loved her), and that hasn't changed because they're good characters.

The only one I can think of right now is Carisi from Law & Order SVU. I hated him at first, but now he's one of my favorites.

Amy Rose. her characterisation in X and Heroes in the English versions left much to be desired but her recent characterisation in the games has changed my mind.

I used to not be interested in Bucky at all, then something changed one day and I started living Stucky. Idk man, it's weird.

I loved Comics!Iron Man and Tony was my favorite part of the MCU until the second Iron Man movie. Now I can't even muster up the effort to read Iron Man comics.

I used to hate Hal Jordan, but I've softened. He can be a dick but he can be used in fun stories.
