The Unwellness Job

Because sure it would suck if your pregnancy or cancer got revealed to your friends/family before you were ready. But who would hunt down that info? Scammers looking for vulnerable marks.

DA

The consequences can actually be more dire than someone finding out before that person was ready. People could lose out on jobs because of assumptions about certain conditions (yes, there is some legal protection for some conditions, but there may have to be a court battle and a lot of people aren't prepared to do that). There are also stigmas attached to certain conditions that could make that person's life harder in other ways.

Then there's death. One of the leading causes of death in pregnant women is murder https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/hsph-in-the-news/homicide-leading-cause-of-death-for-pregnant-women-in-u-s/. And given the murder rates of trans people, it can also be pretty dangerous if any medical information that might reveal that is somehow released.
