There is a artist I follow that has awesome art, but is always getting way too angry over fandom shit that does not matter.

If they didn't follow me back on twitter I would've let them go a while ago just because it's so annoying. I even kind of stopped sharing most of their work, not for "punishment" or anything, just started to connect them to negativety.

I've had similar experience with fic authors. I now rarely follow authors I like and skip over most author's notes so I can enjoy their fic without any associated fandom negativity.
