I miss fandom being fun and the points you bring up are legit, but I also think that, at least for me...I got into fandom when I was 13. I didn't have any responsibilities, the world didn't seem like such a trash fire, and I didn't care if what I produced was good as long as it was fun. Now I'm a 38 year old adult with bills, living on Earth in 2024 (and incredibly aware of what's going on in the world), and I've somehow developed standards that I can't reach.

So...that all has a way of making things less fun lmao and I imagine I'm not the only person who feels this way. I have no idea how to fix it but therapy and drugs are doing their best.
