Idk if this helps at all, but I find most actresses ugly just because all the makeup, airbrushing and surgery makes them look more like dolls than people to me. I only fancy women who look like people.

Commenting on someone's appearance isn't the same as sexually desiring them. Plenty of people have said that I look good without wanting to bone me. I don't see anything wrong with a father commenting positively on his daughter's appearance -- actually, sounds like a great way to boost a child's self-esteem to me.

Just because you make note of someone being attractive or ugly doesn't mean you've been thinking of them in a sexual way. If my dad says I look pretty or something, I take it as a compliment and it boosts my esteem - it doesn't at all mean that he's been looking at me in a pedo way.

This secret just makes me appreciate my father because he usually complains about actresses that other people find attractive -- like the one time he said that Anne Hathaway's mouth was freakishly large. Heh.

There was this professor I used to think was so interesting and intelligent and young and handsome. Then I found out he goes around calling his daughter "ugly" and "stupid" just because he thinks it makes him original, since every other parent likes to brag about how beautiful and intelligent their daughters are, right?

So, yeah, basically he's a pretentious, ignorant douche. And your dad is just a straight-forward douche. And you should feel free to hate him instead of projecting that hatred onto strangers. I know daughters are "supposed to" love their fathers, but fathers are also supposed to be caring and supportive to their daughters, so the social contract's kind of off at this point.
