I don't know that Hermione would make all that great of a Minister. When she's under pressure, she tends to think and act too hastily, and her decisions are often the wrong ones--or the results of too many mistakes that can't really be afforded.

Well, there's every possibility she would have grown out of that after high school; most teenagers tend to act that way. TBH, I didn't think all that hard about it, the logic pretty much went along the lines of "character I love + prestigious job = omg awesome! \o/"
