I can't make myself gay anymore than I would imagine a gay man/lesbian could make himself/herself straight. I don't think it works like that, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, I feel bad for your partner if you'd consider doing this to her just because you like the movie's happily-ever-after. You can make your OWN happily-ever-after regardless of what your or your partner's genitalia are - hell, it's completely irrelevant. Happily-ever-after is a state of mind, I think, and not some magic thing that just HAPPENS.
