Listen to music in a language you don’t speak, and you won’t know how dumb it is.

Hence the enduring popularity of anime theme tunes.

Oh, I absolutely do in my free time. Unfortunately, those are not the mainstream hits that get blasted constantly on the radio when I'm at work.

That's what I did when I was a kid! Now that I can speak English and understand song's lyrics easily... oh boy. We surely had a lot of trash hits in the early 2000s...

I only tend to notice how dumb lyrics are when I start to sing along and realize what I'm saying. It does tend to ruin the moment a lot of the time.

This makes me grateful for instrumental covers on YouTube. THUD has some good Boomwacker versions of pop songs (such as "Shape of You").

I recently discovered medieval instrumental covers of modern music. WAP is amazing.

I feel the same way MUCH of the time.

I thought I mostly enjoyed mainstream pop because my only exposure was on the school bus with a not very good radio, so I couldn't really hear the lyrics and made up my own. The bass was the main part.

I love not being native English speaker. I just do not care.
It's weird, I love concept albums, but my brain really has trouble grasping lyrics in music. All text becomes sand to me if it starts to have rhythm and music. Aaaand. There are a whole ass genres in my country that prioritize song lyrics to music writing. Sort of like country music does. I. Hate. It. I just can't stand shitty music no matter how great and awesome texts are. You could have send it in a fucking email.
