I'm still so bitter/jealous about people that had to quarantine during the pandemic. I had to work extra shifts the whole fucking time. Which is fine, I kept my job and got a steady paycheck. But the whole time people kept posting about how hard it was to stay at home, and how people came out of it with all these new creative creations, and I'm just there getting more and more burned out.

Sorry, I'm not angry at individuals or anything, just the situation. I still haven't gotten a vacation, so I'm a little crisp at the edges.

Don't worry, I get you.
I stayed at home, sure, but in the meantime I also lost my job and all my career prospect with it (still not recovered from that lol), I then had to move back to my home country because I couldn't renew my working visa oh but before that I was actually blocked in that foreign country for more than a year and couldn't visit my family while my parents got sick and my dad was in ER for two weeks. :/
But at least I got to stay home by myself and could de-compress.

So yeah... covid has been rough to everyone but in a different manner.
I'm very sorry you still had no chance to take a proper vacation. I hope you'll get one soon!
All the best to you. <3

+1, I worked in healthcare. Finally got my vacation two weeks ago but got into an accident right before it and spent the whole time recovering and going to medical appointments.

I'm sorry. That happens all too often. I hope you're recovering well. Hugs if wanted.

I am a weird case. I was at home because my work can be done remotely so yay. But my mental health took a really fucking blow. Yeah, I've learned that I can't stay at one place for long before I am getting absolutely unhinged. And I have fucking depression that prevents me from going outside a lot of times. No creativity. No cool new shows to watch etc etc. I was jealous of people who could learn something. I couldn't. My cognitive functions never recovered.
AND
On top of that people in my household had to go to work. I was scared for them but also jealous af. And despite quarantine I had covid like 4 or 5 times. All of us mild cases thankfully. But. Yeah.
