It's funny because having been far, far away from the ATLA fandom for many years I've seen people outside of fandom talk rather well about the show. It was a surprise to know the fandom didn't receive it in the same way but the cherry on top was seeing cartoon fans who were pretty honest about not having seen anything of the Netflix version and still trying to criticize it to hell. That alone makes me want to give the Netflix version a chance tbh, just out of spite, lmao.

+10000, OP. Even if the story is supposedly amazing and the characters are wonderful and the plot is enticing according to fans... Man, I just can't get over these cartoons' style.

I think this must be highly dependent on where you're getting your fandom fix online. Most of the stuff I've seen posted about the new series boils down to variations of "it's okay," "I like how they did X, but I wish they'd done something different with Y and Z," and "at least it's not the Shyamalan one."

I mean, I don't understand why she couldn't become canon, given... everything that is now canon. Not that I think they ought to - I honestly think the canon is a kind of a mess and they would more than likely do something annoying, baffling, or outrageous with the character.

I am not sure if SU is badly animated, but I do not care for this style at all. But to be fair I don't like A LOT of animation

Some people can get past it and others can't. No judgment if you can't, but for me it's like ignoring the shitty CG in modern live action shows.(Or the cardboard boulders and arts and crafts creatures in older live action shows.)

Also, I guess some people like the style? Personally, I think that animation style is not great, and SU is one of the shows that was either too cheap or too lazy to bother animating the background characters reacting to anything going on around them most of the time. But I will admit that the backgrounds were gorgeous.

There was a 30 year gap between the original trilogy and the sequel. Guessing any love interests would happen somewhere in that gap.

Or maybe, somehow, Luke Skywalker returned.

Assuming you like them, that is. I do, but it takes so much planning to buy them, then monitor them to make sure they don't go from rock hard to rotten overnight, then use them all up before they go bad. But when I eat them, it's usually in guacamole. How about you?

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best.

Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made. I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!
