That's interesting. I hadn't seen anyone talk about Avatar in my circles for... Quite a few years until the Netflix show came up. And Firefly... People mention it a good deal but I don't have a single clue of what it's about apart from being... Space stuff? I guess? Joss Whedon? That's as far as it goes and I've seen people mention it far more than they do ATLA. Really just goes to show you what curating your online spaces does, I suppose, because it's an entirely different experience to OP's.
