What do you do for (non-fandom related) fun?

I love the idea of art-related hobbies but I'm not that artistic, nor do I have the money to really invest much in it. But I cross stitch and embroider a little, since the cost of materials is relatively inexpensive, and find it very soothing. How about you guys?

I lift weights. I hate cardio, but I really really like lifting heavy things. It's very meditative.

I enjoy birdwatching. I use the Merlin app (which is free) to help me identify the birds I'm hearing (so it's more bird listening than watching). It's peaceful, makes me happy, and gets me to be present in nature (even if it's not the woods).

I love the Merlin app, it's lovely to put a bird to the song :)

I love music. All kinds. I love just listening.

Swimming.

Before I was chosen by a cat who doesn't like to smell other cats on me, I used to volunteer at an animal shelter. Basically, spending time with animals is a lot of fun for me. I'll still occasionally go to a zoo or aquarium.

Cooking and baking. It's not as active as I'd wish due to living situation but I love to cook/bake when I have time to focus on it.

Work on my wardrobe. A hobby I've always been too scared/poor to honestly get super into. It's a slow process for me but it's been a fun journey these past couple of years.

Slowly getting back into watching films. Like, I go to movie theatres mostly when my siblings invite me to catch the hot new movie they're into and outside of that, I don't really watch movies. When I was younger, I watched movies every day. Films I've never seen before and a lot of rewatches of favorites. There were times where I went to the actual movie theatre multiple times a week.
In the past year, I've been slowly trying to watch a movie here or there every few days/weeks.
I honestly never thought I'd struggle to watch movies the ways I have/had been for the past 10(ish) years =/

SA
Also, I absolutely believe fandom played a heavy hand in my loss of interests in movies as well as why it's hard for me to watch movies. Like, actively participating in fandom culture that involved a lot of films affected my desires to watch movies. It's like a hobby turned into homework/class assignment/a job and...ugh. Work is work, like. I want to enjoy watching movies, not feel like it's some sort of obligation.

Backpacking, building Lego, machine embroidery, spending time with my pets, video games, reading, cooking, and household DIY. I don’t consider video games or reading fandom related because I don’t participate in any book or game fandoms. They’re just ways to enjoy myself and escape into new worlds and see things differently.

I love rearranging my home now and again, to change up the vibe and try something like a different chair by the window than usual or redoing how I display decorations. I find it very soothing. Plus, making cleaning part of a fun chore (vacuuming while moving things around) helps make it feel more rewarding.
