I was guessing hysterectomy, and family members who have had that surgery were sore as hell for a good long time. If they had the ability to take a long break from work, they did so. I have online friends who are in a frenzy over "where is Kate???" but meh, they said she would be back at work around Easter, and it's not Easter yet. Admittedly most of the people I know who are carrying on about this are probably joking, but a few of them are definitely concern trolling, which I find irritating. I've muted a couple of people on Facebook for a little while and am hoping Kate returns to her duties in good time just so I can have a conversation with those folks again!
