See, I've only just reached this problem with Bleach. I started watching it for the first time a few weeks ago. When I reached episode 63, I wasn't sure whether to carry on or just skip to 110, considering all the complaining I've heard about the Bount arc. Then again, I kinda hate missing episodes JIC I miss something important. I've now been trying to decide this for about 2-3 weeks. Advice?

I just finished watching the entire Bount arc (for work, not because I particularly wanted to see it), and I have to say - maybe I just take Bleach way less seriously than I should, but I actually enjoyed it. Yes, it's very silly but not much more than the original story (and I have a feeling that the writers were aware of the silliness as well and deliberately went over-the-top a number of times - in any case I had many laughs), the main characters actually play a considerable role (which means a lot to me because I couldn't care less about most of the shinigami and I'm pretty miffed about how they took over the canon story), it has overall nice music, and the animation is perfectly serviceable most of the time (again: it's not any worse than what they used to have in the canon storyline, at least most of the time). Oh, and I actually like the three new mod souls, I think they're cute. :D

So all in all I say it's not half as tragic as what people make it out to be. But then, as I said, I usually don't take Bleach particularly seriously, especially story-wise. And little Ishida never fails to make me go "aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww~!" :D
